Sevilla Away Days

Andalusian heat, fierce local rivalries and one of the best atmospheres in Spain, Sevilla is a brilliant, underrated away day. We find cheap flights and tickets so you can soak up the city and the football.

Stadium & matchday

Sevilla's Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán, in the Nervión district, is one of Spain's most intimidating grounds — tight and steep, so the noise stays trapped over the pitch. Big European nights here have a fearsome reputation. If your trip falls on a derby against neighbours Real Betis, the whole city feels it for days.

Getting there & planning

Seville airport has a growing list of direct routes from the UK, with a bus link into the centre. Once there, the compact old town is best explored on foot, and the ground is a manageable trip from the middle of the city. Andalusian afternoons stay hot well into autumn, so plan your day around the heat.

The city beyond the football

Seville is one of Spain's most beautiful cities — the vast Gothic cathedral and the Giralda tower, the fantasy Alcázar palace, and the tiled lanes of the Santa Cruz quarter. Evenings are made for tapas and, in season, flamenco. It's an away day that doubles as a proper Andalusian city break.
